What I Do: Editing and Writing
Words have always been my medium—whether I’m editing psychological reports for licensed professionals or writing books that help women heal.
For the past several years, I’ve worked remotely with a dual-licensed psychologist and clinic director, editing psychological reports, assessments, and clinical documents for use by insurance companies and other institutions. I ensure clarity, accuracy, and APA compliance—especially for clients whose first language is not English. My goal is to let their expertise shine through with professionalism and precision.
Due to the confidential nature of my editing work, I do not provide samples. However, I’m happy to outline the types of projects I’ve supported.
In addition to client work, I’m also a published author.

I’m the author of two books that reflect different but deeply connected aspects of who I am:
We’re Not Monsters (2025)
This memoir is a raw and intimate journey through generational trauma, motherhood, family estrangement, and personal rebirth. Written for daughters of narcissistic or abusive mothers—and anyone who has felt silenced by family—it gives voice to the wounds that polite culture asks us to bury.

My hope is that this book helps women feel seen, name what happened, and begin to choose themselves—without guilt, apology, or shame.
The Secret to Luscious Locs (2017)
More than just a hair care guide, this book, written under my maiden name, is an invitation for women of colour to embrace their natural textures—not just as a beauty choice, but as a wellness journey. It blends hair rituals with holistic nutrition, showing how what we eat, think, and believe can transform not only our strands but our entire bodies.
It was written out of love—for our roots, our resilience, and the generations of women whose beauty was never meant to be tamed.
